A cooperation between the College of Engineering, the Iraqi Engineers Union – Kerbala Branch, and the EMAC Engineering Team is organizing a scientific seminar titled “Roads: Between Deterioration and Development.”
This workshop aims to guide and raise awareness among civil and architectural engineers, particularly final-year students and recent graduates, about the importance of developing road maintenance methods and improving infrastructure quality in line with global advancements. The workshop will present an analysis of successful projects in road maintenance, highlighting innovations and modern technologies used in this area, such as proactive maintenance, sustainable materials, and artificial intelligence in assessing road conditions.
Dr. Raed Rahman Al-Mahna, a faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Kufa University, will be present. He has provided engineering consultations in infrastructure, roads, and bridges. He has also participated in local and international scientific conferences as a member of the scientific committee and a researcher, publishing multiple papers on pavement and transportation management
